National Science Fair Committee

The National Science Fair Committee is a standing committee of Youth Science Canada and is made up of 6 elected representatives of the regions, one from each of the 6 Youth Science Canada zones across Canada. The Committee’s Vice Chair is elected by the regional delegates each year at the CWSF, and moves on to become Chair and Past Chair in succeeding years. This committee has the following responsibilities:

  • working with the Executive Director to develop and implement operational policy affecting the successful implementation of the science fair program.
  • advising the Regional Science Fairs in the interpretation and application of Youth Science Canada operational policy as represented in the Policy Directory.
  • monitoring the application of the policy, procedures and guidelines and ensuring that there is compliance at RSFs and at the CWSF.
